“Since I now respect my body, I respect myself more, and I think it shines out!”
Nikki Baker always wanted to wear the cool clothes growing up; but as a husky child, she was confined to plus-size styles. She tried different diets to no avail. And forget about workouts. Nikki hated exercise so much that
she once forged an excuse note to a PE teacher. Her final wake-up call came when an ex-boyfriend called her the “f” word. FAT.
Nikki joined the Savannah, Georgia Curves in May 2005 but didn’t make immediate changes in her eating habits. However, she stuck with the workout because it was simple; all she had to do was show up and follow directions.
In 2012, Nikki decided to give Curves Complete a try. She loved it. The Fitness, Meal Plan and Coaching worked together, and the pounds disappeared. Nikki was amazed at her energy level. Even her mood improved. Nikki’s feeling so good she’s jumping for joy, celebrating her 72-pound weight loss. And she did it all while protecting her muscles and improving her bone density. As a matter of fact, the same girl who would stop at nothing to get out of PE class participated in the American Cancer Society’s team Determination in the Savannah Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. Nikki sums up her experience: “One day at a time, one meal at a time, one push-up at a time, one step at a time. All you have to do is do it.”
*People following the Curves Complete plan may lose up to 11.4 lbs. of fat over a 12-week period.
