As a teenager, Jennifer was involved in softball, basketball and volleyball. She was athletic and fit until she went to college,
where she experienced the proverbial “freshman 15,” and then some. Fast-forward to life as a wife and mother of twins; Jennifer convinced herself that she simply didn’t have time for exercise.
Driving home from work one day, Jennifer passed the Junction City Curves, and the light bulb came on. She realized it was exactly what she needed. She’d had success losing pre-wedding weight at Curves. So, at 240 pounds, she decided to rejoin and recommit to a healthier lifestyle. With the Curves Circuit with Zumba classes and the CurvesSmart workout-tracking system, she began to see a glimpse of the “old Jennifer.” The real changes came with Curves Complete. Jennifer liked the idea of adding sensible meal plans to her strength-training program, as well as coaching to keep her on track.
Today, Jennifer is down to an amazing 147 pounds, and the athletic and fit Jennifer is back! She even ran her first half marathon. Jennifer is thrilled that her family has formed healthier habits because of the example that she is setting. She says, “Every day is a fight to make time to stay active and eat right. It’s just part of who I am now.” And what a beautiful part it is.
